Left to Right: Sen. Hans Zieger (R-Puyallup), Rep. Paul Graves (R-Fall City), Former Gov. Dan Evans, and Rep. Mike Pelliciotti (D-Federal Way)
On Saturday July 22, the Washington Under-40 Caucus participated in its fourth bipartisan annual hike of Twin Falls, WA. Senator Hans Zeiger (R-Puyallup), the Caucus' co-chair, was joined by Representative Paul Graves (R-Fall City), Representative Mike Pelliciotti (D-Federal Way) and Former Washington State Governor Dan Evans (R). Both Evans and Zeiger are self-proclaimed avid hikers who have emphasized bipartisanship in their work in the governor's mansion and statehouse respectively.
These annual hikes serve as a way for young lawmakers to get to know one another informally and build ties that can carry over into the legislature. You can read more about the tradition here.
