American Assoc. of University Women's National Conference for College Women Student Leaders

On June 1st, Cherisse Eatmon, MAP's State Caucus Network Director spoke at the American Association of University Women's (AAUW) National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL).  This annual conference engages more than 800 young leaders committed to meaningful campus impact, community mobilization, and personal and professional development.

Cherisse was joined on the panel by Lucy Gettman, Executive Director at Women In Government, Toni Gingerelli, RepresentWomen Fellow at FairVote, Katie Lanzarotta, Policy Manager at Women In Government, and Keenan Austin Reed, Chief of Staff for Congressman Donald McEachin (VA-04)

Panelists covered a variety of issues ranging from trends in the number of women in elected office, to transcending challenges and barriers in leadership.  Cherisse provided information specific to millennial elected officials across the country, and strategies young leaders can utilize to encourage campus civic engagement and increase student involvement in politics.
