Tomorrow’s jobs are going to look a lot different from yesterday’s—but what does that mean for future generations?

In conjunction with WisPolitics.com, MAP co-hosted a roundtable conversation on May 29 to discuss the impact of new technology, the gig economy, and workforce development on the future of work with Congressional Future Caucus Vice Chair Rep. Mike Gallagher and Wisconsin Future Caucus Co-Chair state Rep. Amanda Stuck.

Rep. Gallagher, a Republican, and Rep. Stuck, a Democrat, led the conversation and demonstrated the unique and share perspective of a younger generation of leadership. The bipartisan conversation brought together community leaders and Fox Valley constituents at the Appleton Beer Factory, and centered around the opportunities—and challenges—of the changing nature of work.  Among topics discussed were tangible policy solutions on the future workforce, including high-level skills, AI/automation, and non-violent offenders in the criminal justice system.
