On March 19 MAP's President and Co-Founder Steven Olikara attended the Citizen University National Conference to participate on the New Political Storylines panel. Nested under the broader topic of The Power of Narrative, the panelists discussed how demographics and ideologies continue to shift, causing new citizen narratives to emerge. Spanning political party lines, the panelists brought their ideologies together to debate which storyline about today's American electorate is the most important.

Steven was joined by fellow panelists Matt Kibbe and Heather McGhee. Matt Kibbe is the current President of Free the People, a grassroots community that advocates for civil and economic liberty. Heather McGhee is the current President of Demos, and previous Vice President of Policy and Outreach. She writes and speaks frequently about issues such as democracy reform, economic opportunity, financial regulation and racial equality.
