On September 21, MAP hosted the Young Leaders Council for a reception and briefing on the “State of MAP.”
MAP’s President, Steven Olikara, updated the group on the progress MAP has made in 2017, including doubling MAP’s national footprint by launching 9 new State Future Caucuses; growing the Congressional Future Caucus and adding new co-chairs and vice-chairs; and hosting the first annual Future Summit for state legislators across the country. MAP was joined by a special guest, Nebraska Future Caucus Co-Chair Senator Adam Morfeld, who shared his experience at the summit and as a Future Caucus co-chair.
MAP staff fielded questions from the crowd and welcomed startup leaders from WeWork who got the opportunity to meet MAP’s YLC members. The night was full of laughter, new connections, and great conversations as MAP celebrated their four year anniversary.
