MAP hosted a press conference alongside our partners at VoteSafe Wisconsin to highlight the historic early voting, and to detail the bipartisan work being done to ensure a safe and secure election in the Badger State. MAP was joined by former Wisconsin Attorney General JB Van Hollen, and three young bipartisan legislators and members of the Wisconsin Future Caucus: Sen. Chris Larson (D), Rep. Tyler Vorpagel (R), and Rep. Amanda Stuck (D), the caucus co-chair.
MAP’s Senior Manager of the State Caucus Network, Alex Tapia, joined Sara Isgur from the Dispatch for a members-only briefing with the America’s Future Foundation. In this presentation, Alex described the steps MAP is taking to build a coalition of state legislators dedicated to ensuring a safe election through our organization’s Partnering to Ensure Election Resiliency (P.E.E.R.) Project.
The Women’s Public Leadership Network (WPLN) hosted Millennial Action Project’s State Caucus Manager, Alexandria Tapia on a webinar to discuss voting by mail in the upcoming November election. They were joined by Jessica Barba Brown from We Can Vote and Kevin Kosar, representing R Street Institute.
On April 6, 2020, Millennial Action Project (MAP) partnered with Unite America Institute to host a briefing for state legislators across the country interested in learning more about Vote at Home systems.
Mississippi HB 297, which passed the MS House on March 12th, is a great example of a post-partisan approach to absentee voting.
