On Tuesday, November 5th, the Millennial Action Project hosted our tenth Red & Blue Dialogue in Wisconsin. Wrapping up the series for 2019, this Dialogue took place at Biloba Brewing Company in Brookfield, WI and focused on energy, the grid, and the environment in the state. MAP Founder and President, Steven Olikara grew up in Brookfield, making this Dialogue a special homecoming for MAP.
The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network will be hosting Wisconsin Future Caucus Co-Chairs Rep. Adam Neylon and Rep. Amanda Stuck on Sept. 18th for YPs Engage: Making Millennial Voices Heard Across Party Lines. This panel discussion will center on how young professionals can lead and affect change in their communities.
On July 11th, MAP hosted an evening of conversation and action with bipartisan members of the Wisconsin legislature to discuss the future of the workforce in Sheboygan and across Wisconsin.
On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, the Wisconsin Future Caucus held a briefing and panel discussion on energy innovation and its role in the state’s economy hosted by WI Future Caucus Co-Chairs Representatives Adam Neylon (R) and Amanda Stuck (D).
On May 9th, the Millennial Action Project hosted an evening of conversation and action with bipartisan members of the Wisconsin legislature to discuss water quality in Wisconsin.
On March 6th, the UW-Madison chapter of Millennial Action Project hosted their first Red and Blue Dialogue on the topic of “Financing Higher Education.” The group brought over 60 students together from across the political spectrum to discuss higher education and college funding in Wisconsin.
On November 13th, MAP partnered with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, WUWM 89.7 FM - Milwaukee's NPR, and the Zeidler Center for Public Discussion to host ‘You Voted- Now What?' a free, community event featuring a panel conversation and community discussion circles.
On July 12th, the Millennial Action Project and the Zeidler Center for Public Discussion hosted the third Wisconsin Red & Blue Dialogue at Cafe Hollander. MAP brought over 50 members from the Wauwatosa and Milwaukee communities together to discuss the issue of “Fake News” and how it has affected Americans in Wisconsin and across the country.
In conjunction with WisPolitics.com, MAP co-hosted a roundtable conversation on May 29 to discuss the impact of new technology, the gig economy, and workforce development on the future of work with Congressional Future Caucus Vice Chair Rep. Mike Gallagher and Wisconsin Future Caucus Co-Chair state Rep. Amanda Stuck.
On May 15, the Millennial Action Project partnered with the Zeidler Center to host the second Wisconsin Red & Blue Dialogue– an evening of meaningful conversation about higher education in Wisconsin and across the country.
